Sometimes I do not like to label people stupid, but out of their "inconsiderate behavior", they end up putting labels on themselves.
I guess you could surmise based on my initial input that something annoys me at this very moment.
I am really against the use of firecrackers for it can cause air pollution, water pollution and noise pollution. Studies show that smoke from fireworks contains fine toxic dusts that can easily enter the lungs.
My son has chronic bronchitis and he is allergic to dusts and other air pollutants like those particulate matters coming from firecrackers.
Just imagine yourself inhaling sulfur-coal compounds, traces of heavy metals, and other toxic chemicals or gases coming from fireworks. Toxic fumes such as ozone, sulfur dioxide and nitric oxide also compose the combustion smoke. Talking about climate change and global warming--how do firecracker users stand on these issues?
Are they aware that fireworks fallout contaminate water supplies for the rain will transport the residues on the ground to our rivers or oceans.
How about noise pollution? Loud noises are not good for the ears. How? The irritating loud vibrations caused by fireworks can travel far exceeding 140 decibels. If 85 decibels could already cause damage to hearing, how much more if it is higher?
So for all those who know that using firecrackers will create havoc to our health and environment, then I wonder why do they keep on doing that?
I do not like to call them stupid, but do i have a choice?
