Hello dear friends. It is going to be 2009 in a few hours from now, here in the Philippines. Some say it is the time for resolutions, but the irony is, after a few weeks of spoken promises, all resolved actions to be done disappear into thin air. Your blogger friend here wants to suggest some of the following tips that could give you a different view of the new year:

1. Do not make new resolutions, rather assess how good you were in making your 2008 resolutions come true. Did you give justice to your desired changes? Did you give your best and sustain them? Or did you just give up easily after a short period of time? Making new resolutions will not work if your past resolutions did not even materialize.

2. Focus on the "we" and not "I". Try to consider how you were as a family member last year or the previous years? Were you supportive, loving and caring? Did you volunteer your help without them asking it from you? Please think deeply how you made others happy. Love your family the most before you extend your hand to other people. Sometimes we overlook their importance because we are too absorbed in making good impression on other people. Balance your social standards. You must always put your family as your top priority. Spending more time with them is one of the best ways to show it.

3. Always move on. After reassessing your life, always move on for progress. Do not get stuck with an unrequited love. Time is too short to waste on bitterness. You do not need to torture yourself thinking what went wrong in the relationship because it did not work. If a person truly loves you, he or she will do everything to prove that. If there is no love, there will be no action or reactions to expect from the one you desire. So please leave the sadness and move on. There are plenty of smiles waiting for you. The right love will come knocking on your doorstep.

On the other other hand, other sad things in your life should be treated as a thing of the past. NO amount of time spent over regretting your past misdeeds will alter the situation. What has been done could not be undone. But you have the chance to correct the past and make it right this time. Life is good. God is just. You will always have the chance to make everything better. Never lose hope.

Finally, smile dear friends. Happy New Year to everyone!
